Whosoever Means Me And You

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

There is great value in making sure your eternal security is in knowing Jesus and your faith is put in His saving power so that when you reach my age (and beyond) you can truly say, “the best is yet to come”.

I’m happy today because of the word “whosoever”. God didn’t choose me to be saved; He accepted my salvation through the blood of Jesus! Romans 10:13 is a great promise for me and can be for you as well. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” There is no doubt in my mind that “shall” is a powerful word as well. We call on Jesus and He saves us, and we are saved – forever and ever.

I am hap­py to­day, and the sun shines bright,
The clouds have been rolled away;
For the Sav­ior said, whosoever will
May come with Him to stay.

Hope is a word that so many people try to understand and grasp but it remains elusive to them. Why? Their hope is not in the living Savior but their own works. This cannot give them any hope of heaven because a “hope so” salvation is not a “know so” salvation. I don’t hope that I’m going to heaven but I KNOW that I am going to heaven.

Christ’s blood has made me perfected and ready for heaven.  Romans 6:22 says, “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”  We all serve a master and I’d rather serve my God Who gave me hope of Heaven. Hope in Him means hope raised high!

All my hopes have been raised, O His name be praised,
His glo­ry has filled my soul;
I’ve been lift­ed up, and from sin set free,
His blood has made me whole.

II Peter 1:4 is full of such promise. “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Grace divine that we are now saved, serving God and escaping all the sin of this world. It does not mean that we won’t sin while here on earth but we have the grace divine for forgiveness of these sins and we can live victoriously above them. I am so grateful to God for my salvation and for being a “whosoever” that it makes me want to serve Him and show others the grace that only He gives.

O what won­der­ful love, O what grace di­vine,
That Je­sus should die for me;
I was lost in sin, for the world I pined,
But now I am set free.

Whosoever surely means me! It means you! It means God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9) ANY – WHOSOEVER – THE WORLD – these words are all encompassing. God created each one of us and put inside of us a free will to choose Him or not. We can accept or reject Him as we have free will but my prayer for you is that you accept Him today.
