Have you made it through this week with a smile on your face?
I know it can be hard sometimes to not feel the weight of this old world. However, we don’t have to get bogged down in it because we have a liberty the world doesn’t give us!
Jesus gives a sweet freedom in Him when we accept Him as our Savior. This liberty is freely given to us so that we can shout for joy even on the darkest of days.
The French have a hymn about this liberty and Pierre plays it. Here are the words with the translation to them below.

Christ made us free. We no longer need to be entangled in the cares of this world. “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1

Can you see why I love this song? Psalm 13:6 says, “I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.” This is why I sing! God has given me so much but the best thing He gave me was my liberty! I can be free to live in Him in this old world. The hard times can come. People can attack me. The devil can laugh and try to destroy me. Doesn’t matter! I have liberty in Christ!
