“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13
Joy comes from serving our Savior and others first. Joy is found in the essence of praising Him. When we sing TO God in worship about Him we are showing others how important He is.
Now to the Lord sing praises
all you within this place,
and with true love and brotherhood
each other now embrace;
this holy tide of Christmas
all other doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy.
Singing is a powerful form of testifying what He is doing in this world and in our lives. The key is what HE is doing and not what WE are doing. Our praises should reflect this.
God rest you merry, gentlemen,
let nothing you dismay,
remember Christ our Savior
was born on Christmas Day
to save us all from Satan’s pow’r
when we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy.

Comfort and joy comes from Christ and when we take time to sing this song, we will realize that there is no reason to be discouraged with every day life when we know Him as our Savior – comfort and joy!
Joy is something we have when we know Christ as our Savior. Life is filled with peace and we do not need to worry about life when we know Him. As we wind down the Christmas season, let us remember to share Him with others so that they, too can have the peace we know.
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3
