What Praise, What Joy To Know Him

Another brand new week with new adventures and new trials in it as we reach the halfway mark of September has me realizing how I am closer to the end of my life today than yesterday.  I have to stop and think more often what comes next? After death, comes eternity and where we choose to be in eternity is left up to us.  I want to impress upon many the value in making sure their eternal security is in knowing Jesus and their faith is put in His saving power so that when they reach my age (and beyond) they can truly say, “the best is yet to come”.

We all know I love to sing and today I’m singing a song called, “Whosoever Surely Meaneth Me”. Let’s look into how this relates to our eternal security.

HAPPINESS

Why am I happy today? I’m happy today because of the word “whosoever”. God didn’t choose me to be saved, He accepted my salvation through the blood of Jesus! Romans 10:13 is a great promise for me and can be for you as well. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” There is no doubt in my mind that SHALL is a powerful word as well. We call on Jesus and He saves us, and we ARE saved – forever and ever. AMEN!!

HOPE

Hope – a word that so many people try to understand and grasp but it remains elusive to them. Why? Their hope is not in the living Savior but their own works. This can not give them any hope of heaven because a “hope so” salvation is not a “know so” salvation. I don’t hope that I’m going to heaven but I KNOW that I am going to heaven. WHY? His blood (Jesus’) has made me perfected and ready for heaven. Praise God!

Look at this verse in Romans 6:22. “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.” I’m so glad that the blood of Jesus made me free from sin and I can be a servant to God. We all serve a master and I’d rather serve my God Who gave me hope of heaven. Hope in Him means hope raised high!

HELP

II Peter 1:4 is full of such promise. “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Grace divine that we are now saved, serving God and escaping all the sin of this world.

It does not mean that we won’t sin while here on earth (we are still human) but we have the grace divine for forgiveness of these sins and we can live victoriously above them. Remember back before you were saved? Do you live differently now? I know that I do. Why? I am so grateful to God for my salvation – for being a “whosoever” that I want to serve Him and show others the grace that only HE gives.

Whosoever surely means me!!! It means you!! It means God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9) ANY – WHOSOEVER – THE WORLD – these words are all encompassing. God created each one of us and put inside of us a free will to choose HIM or not. I cannot think of NOT choosing Him in my life, can you?

CHOOSE to be a WHOSOEVER!!!
