Worshipping God is not found in a liturgical atmosphere but in heart filled, individual praise of our God. Being thankful can come in many forms and I chose to sing my worship and praise to God. Here is one example of a great worship song that puts God above all else so that the listener looks to Him and not the one singing!
It is easy to worship God through song and I found these verses (thanks to Bible Gateway) in less than ten minutes. Worship Him today by singing this song!
“Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.” Psalm 104:1
Oh worship the King, all glorious above!
O gratefully sing His power and His love—
Our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days,
Pavilioned in splendor, and girded with praise.
“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.” Daniel 7:9
Oh tell of His might! O sing of His grace!
Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space;
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form,
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” I Corinthians 15:10
The earth, with its store of wonders untold,
Almighty! Thy power hath founded of old;
Established it fast by a changeless decree,
And round it hath cast, like a mantle, the sea.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
Thy bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” I Peter 5:7
Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail;
Thy mercies how tender! How firm to the end!
Our maker, defender, redeemer, and friend!
“Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.” Psalm 39:4
O measureless might! Ineffable love!
While angels delight to worship Thee above,
The humbler creation, though feeble their lays,
With true adoration shall all sing Thy praise.
“And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.” Hebrews 1:6
