“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:” Revelation 3:20
Jesus is the Son of God. God the Father asked God the Son to leave Heaven’s splendor with its purity and its perfection and come to earth to live as a man and die for our sins. Jesus loved us that much! He suffered greatly for us. Acts 2:21 tells us what we can do for eternal security. “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Every religion in the world can be divided into two camps. Do or done. The ONLY way to Heaven is to get into the camp of “done”. Our salvation was taken care of the moment Jesus died on the cross. He Himself said, “It is finished.” However, we have to accept this free gift in order to enter Heaven. No amount of doing good works will make us holy. Only Jesus shed blood will save us. Are you making room for Him?
Have you any room for Jesus,
He who bore your load of sin?
As He knocks and asks admission,
Sinners, will you let Him in?
Mr. Whittle made room for Jesus and experienced His saving power but it was only after he lost his right arm in the Civil War. He found a New Testament to read and was then asked to pray with a dying man. Whittle didn’t know what to say but as he prayed for the dying man’s soul, his soul cried out and He asked God to save him.
He made room in his heart for Jesus and went on to serve God the rest of his life writing over 100 hymns. His plea for you is to make room for the Savior. Seek Him early for a life of peace, joy and happiness. Matthew 6:33 tells us that when we seek Him this peaceful life will be with us (read the whole chapter for a blessing). “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” God never forsakes or forgets His own so seeking God will bring many rich blessings in your life.

Have you made room for Jesus? When did you open your heart to Him? Can you share this with a friend?
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9
