What is your daily song? Do you wake in the morning singing?
“My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.” Psalms 71:23
Singing is a balm for the soul and helps us refocus on what really matters in life when we sing in worship for Him. God designed us as musical people and loves music. He enjoys hearing us praise Him in song.
“O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.” Psalms 95:1
What a great way live our day – praising Him. We can never be unhappy when we praise our God. When we are in the valleys or on top of the mountain, praising Him brings a joy that has us shouting and singing for we DO serve a great God.
“Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.” II Samuel 22:50
Singing is an easy form of worshipping God (and no talent required). You can sing in your home and in your car. Sing while walking in the woods or sitting on your porch. I grew up singing all the time. I believe singing has helped me through many of the trials of life. When I talk to my kids about day to day life or trials they are facing; they often say, “Mom, you have a song for that.” Yes, I do! Praising my Savior all the day long. Fanny Crosby let it be known we would have blessed assurance via praising our Savior. Singing His praises puts the focus back where it should be – on Him.
“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.” Psalms 115:1
