“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” II Timothy 3:16-17
Starting our children on the wonderful journey of daily meeting with God is a big responsibility. It is also a necessary responsibility as it will set them up for a wonderful life of peace and joy.
My “book review” today is a suggestion to find them a pretty journal with lined paper to help them in this study. I suggest pretty (or manly) because there IS something inspiring to have a journal to write in that speaks to you. Sounds corny but it is true.
I am currently writing out the whole Bible. This I started a couple of years ago with the smaller books. I go back and forth between Old and New Testament. Right now I’m writing out the book of Mark and it is my 38th book. This has been a blessing as it means I have slowed down. I have taken time to think as I write out His Word.
This all started because a friend would send me monthly verses to write out (in addition to my own Bible study) with each month based on a theme. One verse a day for each day of the month.
This would be a great method for your children (and yourself). You can find all sorts of themes on Pinterest but here is one I like that will give you daily verses on God’s guidance. This is only twenty days but you don’t have to stop there. There are so many wonderful themes in God’s Word to write out.

Writing His Word involves reading His Word and when we were younger we used to sing a chorus that spoke of this.
