Gratefulness Never Depleted

I am thankful for the food I eat
Thankful for all the friends I meet.
I am thankful for good health to enjoy
Thankful for trials, though they annoy.
God has filled my life with real zest
And He desires for me His very best;
I am so thankful for His salvation,
And my heart is filled with gratification.
I am thankful that God has forgiven
And to me, His eternal life has given.
I thank God for a wife who really cares
For the many times He’s answered our prayers!
I am thankful for a Pastor who really cares
For challenging messages, and for his prayers.
Let’s join together on this glorious day
To serve each other in a more thankful way.

There seems to be these waves that come of trials when you’re just clinging to the side of the boat praying you don’t capsize and calling out to God. Then He brings you into a safe harbor and all you can do is glorify His name and worship Him. But when Monday hits and you have to start another week of work, aren’t you glad you had a Sunday?

I’m so glad for Sundays because they help me look forward to Mondays! Why? For starters it is the start of a brand new week which is fresh and new and may be exciting! I also am so grateful for a solid church to attend on Sunday where the messages are solid and the singing is divine! It is just what my spirit needs to get into the business of Monday! What are some things that I am grateful for?  What are some ways that I can confidently say my gratefulness will never be depleted?

Security is something everyone craves nowadays.

Actually, I think we were born with the desire to feel secure. Isn’t it great to see the tiny newborns all swaddled tight. They just love it. We feel secure in our parents’ arms and then as we grow and get married we feel secure with our spouses and in our own homes. But this security is fleeting and earthly and not always available. We do have an eternal security if we know Jesus as the only way to heaven; as the only way to have sins forgiven. Are you eternally secure?

Hobbies, we all have one.

My mom said to me when I was younger:   never have a hobby that you can’t use for the Lord. My hobby is sewing! I love it.  How can I use my hobby for the Lord? How about making something to encourage a sister in the faith? God loves each of the talents that we have that we use for Him. A good testimony goes so far today!

Justified fully through Calvary’s blood  is something I am thankful for.

I’m not just justified but fully! No one can take this away! I’m grateful every day for His love and salvation!

God’s bountiful blessings to us here in America are something to have gratefulness for.

I am reminded of the bounty we have as Americans and how grateful we should be to live in a land that we never have known want when we go online to shop or run into a Wal-Mart.  So much plenty in our land means God is good. We have all we need and more!

Injuries can be time to thank God for His provision.

I can be grateful for the injury to help me be sympathetic with others who suffer much more than I do. These bodies will not hold up long on this earth but praise God I’ll have a new one in heaven. May my injuries and my disease keep me close to Him today.

God’s compassion never ends and His faithfulness is amazing! Gratefulness remains full in my life as long as I remember to keep the perspective that He has given me so much.  What contentment to know our lives rest in His almighty hands!  I want to make sure my gratefulness is never depleted.

“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.” Psalm 26:7
