A mother’s love is well known from the time they lay that baby in her arms and throughout the child’s entire life. What wonderful love but even more so than this love is the love that Christ had for us that sent Him to the cross to pay for our sins! Hebrews 12:2 reminds us of His love when it says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Romans 5:8 describes Jesus’ love well. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” To give your life for another is the greatest of love and that is what Christ did for us! He didn’t have to leave Heaven to save mankind but He did. He made the sacrifice and now the offer is ours for the taking!

The Lamb of God chosen to die for me is something I can’t stop praising God for! “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” (Isaiah 53:7) Christ was brought to trial, condemned for crimes He did not commit and died for me to rise and live again. That is what Christ did as the Lamb of God.

Are you ready to sing eternally? Revelation 5:13 shows us we will praise Him. “Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, beunto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” This means I get to sing for an eternity in Heaven. Singing is such a balm for the soul but it is also a way to give back to our Savior and worship Him. I’m ready to sing on and on and on some more.

A better note to end on cannot be found. We will have joy and be happy for an eternity all because of the wondrous love Christ has shown to us.
