Where Are You Looking?

Moms we have a tough job. From the time that baby enters our lives until we depart ours, we will always have our children on our minds. Our day to day care of them as newborns and then toddlers and on into elementary school can wear us out, keep us tired and make us feel a bit blue. Even as they become independent and start doing things on their own, motherhood is never easy. We watch them spread their wings, make mistakes, pick themselves up and hopefully learn from said mistakes. We spend many an hour praying for and caring about our children. What can we do when life as a mom becomes seemingly unbearable or even just difficult? Look up! On our worst days, God is still on the throne. On our best days, He hasn’t moved. We can go to Him. I Chronicles 16:11 says it well. “Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” What are you seeking today? Whom are your trusting? Where are you finding the answers to life’s journey? Look up – find them in God.  Need more encouragement on looking to God?  Check out these verses.

It seems we’ve walked in circles while staring at the ground,

our magnifying glass held up to troubles all around

O who can point us to the solving clue because right now solutions aren’t in view?

Look up! Look up! The answers there are found,

but you will never see them by always looking down.

Look up! Look up, and soon the truth will dawn.

The answers you are looking for are only found in God.

His fingerprints are everywhere despite what others say; and as we search to find the clues, the Bible points the way.

Though some may say there is no God at all, behold His face and listen to His call.

Look up! Look up! The answers there are found. But you will never see them by always looking down.

Look up! Look up, and soon the truth will dawn.

The answers you are looking for are only found in God.

“…The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you;…” II Chronicles 15:2 offers us such sweet comfort.  Check out this article that shows us how close we can be to God.
