A little over six years ago when I was depressed about my hair falling out, my husband told me to go and find a solution. I didn’t want the products that were out there already so I was in conflict until I started watching Kara Blocker’s posts on her hair journey.
I first met Kara years ago in Niagara Falls, Canada when our fathers were both pastors in Canada. I vaguely remember thinks like being around a horse near their property (I believe it was Kara’s) and little girls running through the house playing joyfully (incidentally, these girls now work with us as well!). Fast forward years (just a few) and we are now on Facebook together. It has been so much fun over the years for me to connect with past friends especially from Canada and Kara was one of those.
Now, we are on the same team, using, selling and sharing our wonderful products with everyone. She is my fearless team leader as well as my friend and confidant and I thought an interview with her would be fun.
Kara, it is so good to be on your team and as we have worked together for over 3 years, I have watched us both grow and I’ve seen you encourage so many women on our team. I’ve been excited to interview you and ask these questions so let’s get started.
How did you learn about Monat?
My sister, Beka, had seen new hair growth and she wanted me to try it.
What pushed you to become an MP?
What, or who?! Beka, again! Ha! After seeing new hair growth in 3 weeks I knew it would be easy to sell.
How did you build your team?
All I did was post my results and love for the products on Facebook. I already had a thriving social media presence and hundreds of relationships with people there. I already had a music studio, a single mom’s support group and active in other groups and ministries. This meant I had a lot of people to share it with.
What was your biggest obstacle in building your team?
I really don’t see any obstacles. I’m excited when someone wants to join my team and I don’t sweat it otherwise.
What has been your biggest success in heading up your team?
I think it’s the joy and enthusiasm I have about each person, and my love of the products. Also, I have a huge family selling Monat so I get a lot of inspiration from them.
What goals do you have for your team and yourself?
My number one goal is to stay true to my values and to be at peace. For my team, my main goal is to help them see how wonderful they are.
What one piece of advice would you give someone who is coming onboard with your team?
Do personal growth work. When we face our fears, learn what’s holding us back from being who we were created to be, then we find our niché and our purpose.
This has been so much fun, Kara, and such wonderful answers. As a team member, I can say you are true to all your answers and we all feel very well cared for.
Kara, mentioned her family selling Monat. This is indeed a wonderful inspiration to us all as we work on our bigger team (Team Rise Up) and watch everyone grow. Several of her sisters, are now driving free – yes FREE – Cadillacs and two of them are directors. They ALL are just normal moms like you and I and normal people who just have helped people find their best self through an amazing product and company. We just need YOU now to join our team!!! You can do so here! Monat always has amazing sales, too for Market Partners and VIP’s.
