Life can be stressful. Every day it seems like we are hearing about another tragedy or another weather disaster. It can seem so overwhelming. I think we are due for some reminders of Who is in control. I hope you can find some peace.
Isaiah 45:6
“That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.” No need to worry as we see that God is with us every day and all day and He is in every place. Nothing is getting by God.
Isaiah 41:10
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Why do we need to lose sleep when we read this verse. God is not only with us but He is strengthening us.
Psalm 22:28
“For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations.” Countries and leaders want to strong arm each other but we can take comfort in this verse. At the end of the day, our hope can rest in God Who will make all things right in the end.
Job 12:10
“In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.” Every soul is known of God. This means He knows the evil and the good happening among mankind on this earth. There are no surprises to God and He will be the Victor in the end!
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” My favorite verse is this one. God wishes peace for us. He is going to keep reassuring us that we can have hope of evil being conquered in the end.
In dark days, we have a hope in a Redeemer Who died for us and is waiting now to hear God say to come for His children. Jesus needs to be glorified here instead of us cowering in fear because we know in the end what will happen. Jesus WILL return and He will defeat the devil and all evil on earth. What better way to have hope for our day than singing loudly this song!
