“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” Isaiah 52:7
I’ve realized that not only have these feet taken me thru two countries, a few provinces and many states but they’ve helped me play some pretty fun musical instruments.
Feet are not pretty but they can help us do so much for God.
“Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” Proverbs 3:27
They can take us down the street to bring a plate of cookies to a neighbor in need.
“He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.” Proverbs 22:9
Feet bring us across town to hand some words of hope and salvation to hungry souls.
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,…” Isaiah 52:7
They will lead us up on the platform to play the piano when needed.
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” Colossians 3:23
Feet submit to the call of God in our lives no matter where He takes us.
“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” Psalms 91:11-12
A good attitude going along with our feet brings peace wherever we go. How much peace do we bring and leave behind?
“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” Ephesians 6:15
Lord, help me live from day to day
In such a self-forgetful way
That even when I kneel to pray
My prayer shall be for others.
So when my work on earth is done,
And my new work in heav’n’s begun,
I’ll praise You for the crown I’ve won,
But praise You more for others.
