Grateful That God Is My Rock

“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalms 18:2

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, Save from wrath and make me pure.
End of the earth – what does that mean to us? We know there is no end to the earth with it being round but sometimes we can feel like we’ve hit that proverbial brick wall and are at OUR end. The end is different for each person as we walk this earthly path but we all are given the ability to cry out to God for our help. As Christians, we can find strength when our heart is overwhelmed.
On these days, it may seem like all we can ask for is one more step, one more breath, one more reassurance that we are not alone but God leads us then to that Rock, Jesus, Who will strengthen and sustain us. When we put our trust in God, He becomes not only our Savior but our Rock through life.  When those hard days arrive and build up one after another, we know He is there for us to hide in. Think of the hope and peace that is giving us.  People who do not have God as their Rock are left with no hope and no peace.  Our troubles on this earth are only temporary as we walk this earth knowing this is not the end.  Our God has so much more for us.  The best is yet to come!

“For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?” 11 Samuel 22:32
