What is your life like right now? Are you walking a path that seems to be never-ending in hardships? Is the mountain seeming higher and higher with no peak in sight? Our earthly life is full of changes and sickness and trials but the songwriter had it figured out when she wrote these words. There’s a better time coming.

Remember Paul told us that even the harsher of sufferings on earth cannot be compared with the glories that will be revealed. Eternity is going to be amazing and will leave us wondering why we stressed and worried so much about these earthly hardships.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18)

Sing today this song and remind yourself that no matter what path you are walking today, being in God’s will, trusting in His grace, resting on His promises makes it worth it all.

Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We’re tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
