How Is Your Saturday?

Every Saturday, Pierre and I say we are going to slow down. Does it happen? Not always! We make an effort and try to do things we don’t get to during the week.  What skills do I like to put into practice? I thought you might enjoy getting to know me through my skills. Here are some of mine.

COFFEE ALWAYS ON TAP

Coffee – it’s just that comfort drink! I love having coffee hanging around and I’m glad I exist in a land of microwaves because I am always reheating it. You can’t drink coffee without a great mug in it. How do you like mine? It keeps me smiling for sure! And for the record, the coffee that I drink most is a Canadian brand, Tim Horton’s.

SEWING PROJECTS

You can’t have that mug without having some great sewing projects around. Right now I’m revamping Mellie’s wardrobe with longer skirts. (If she’d just stop growing 🙂) I’ve got a pile of cute “leftover” cotton for napkins, too. Trust me – projects are always around!

BEAUTIFUL DECOR

This makes my heart smile! I love my coffee/tea bar. When we moved into our new home here in Florida, we didn’t have room in our bedroom for this dresser but I didn’t want to get rid of it. Turns out it stores all my seasonal things for the kitchen and my teas and coffees as well.

JOYS OF LEARNING

Whether it’s during our school morning or after supper, any time of the day is great for learning. Mellie and I love reading together.  I have always read to my children as they grew up and I have the first book I read to my 28 year old son when he was a baby.  You can read about it here.

HELPING PEOPLE FIND QUALITY PRODUCTS

Speaking of quality, I love helping people find quality products for their lives. I have come to love using Monat on myself and for my family and the fact that the products are so concentrated means I spend now to save in the long run.  Monat always has sales going on to save even more.  You can check it all out here.  Comment below if you’d like more information and I’ll help you out.

Of course, when all else fails on your Saturday of skills, take a nap. I promise – you can’t go wrong with that!
