Last night as I tuned in from New York, to the service in Florida, I was excited to sign this song.
Moment by Moment was written in the late 1800’s and if you think on the words, they keep us encouraged that every miniscule detail of our lives is in HIS care! However, it starts with a personal relationship with our living Savior. We will not know His care for our lives until we know He lives in our hearts!
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine;
Living with Jesus, a new life divine;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
One of those days? God is with you even during those trials! “The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17
Never a trial that He is not there,
Never a burden that He doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that He doth not share,
Moment by moment, I’m under His care.
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” (I Peter 5:10) God has you in every heartache and every groan. He is going to strengthen you!
Never a heartache, and never a groan,
Never a teardrop, and never a moan;
Never a danger but there on the throne,
Moment by moment He thinks of His own.
I Corinthians 10:13 reminds us that Jesus (while on this earth) lived our life. He suffered, was tempted and had hard times. Jesus did not ever forget where His strength came from! “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Never a weakness that He doth not feel,
Never a sickness that He cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal,
Jesus my Savior abides with me still.

So, we can conclude – that every moment He is with us. If that be the case – we can say with confidence: O Lord, I am Thine!
