While I can’t say it has been my easiest month, I can say that I have felt such love and gratitude for my God, my husband and for my family. There seems to be these waves that come of trials when you’re just clinging to the side of the boat praying you don’t capsize and calling out to God and when He brings you into a safe harbor. All you can do is glorify His name and worship Him. I feel like that is where I am right now. I pray that I never stop thanking God because the day I do is the day my life becomes gloomy and sad!

When Monday hits and you have to start another week of work, aren’t you glad you had a Sunday? I’m so glad for Sundays because they help me look forward to Mondays! Why? Well, for starters its the start of a brand new week which is fresh and new and may be exciting! I also am so grateful for a solid church to attend on Sunday where the messages are solid and the singing is divine! It is just what my spirit needs to get into the business of Monday!

Security is something everyone craves nowadays. Actually, I think we were born with the desire to feel secure. Isn’t it great to see the tiny newborns all swaddled tight. They just love it. We feel secure in our parents’ arms and then as we grow and get married we feel secure with our spouses and in our own homes. But this security is fleeting and earthly and not always available. We do have an eternal security if we know Jesus as the only way to heaven. He is the only way to have sins forgiven. Are you eternally secure? Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Hobbies – we all have one or should right? My mom said to never have a hobby that you can’t use for the Lord. My hobby (okay mild obsession) is sewing! I love it! Right now, I’m in the midst of sewing for Mellie who keeps growing taller which is so much fun. How can I use my hobby for the Lord? How about making something to encourage a sister in the faith? God loves each of the talents that we have that we use for Him. A good testimony goes so far today!

Justified fully through Calvary’s blood! This song (Heaven Came Down) gets to me every time with this second verse! Oh what a standing is mine! If I could, I would be jumping up and down in my pew when we sing this song at church. Listen to the words to this song, here. I’m not just justified but FULLY!!! No one can take this away! I grew up fearing God would rip His salvation from me for doing wrong but I know now that isn’t the case and I’m grateful every day for His love and salvation! Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

Black Friday is a day Americans love it. I, personally, only like to shop at online now. Oh the bounty we have as Americans and how grateful we should be to live in a land that we never have known want. God is good. We have all we need and more! Even in times of rising prices, we can still be grateful we have food to eat and resources to make sure we never want. I am so grateful that my children have never had to go hungry or miss out on a special day.

I tend to be in pain every day and sometimes I fall and hurt myself thanks to my weak joints. But injuries can be time to thank God for His provision whether it be that the injury could have been worse or maybe I could have died. I can be grateful for injury to help me be sympathetic with others who suffer much more than I. These bodies will not hold up long on this earth but praise God I’ll have a new one in heaven. May my injuries and my disease keep me close to Him. You can read more about the condition I have here.
What better song to end this but with a song of gratefulness that expresses it all. Begin today and every day in gratefulness. You can never go wrong.
