“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I Thessalonians 5:18
Little is much when God is in it. Have you heard this hymn?
Little is much when God is in it!
Labor not for wealth or fame.
There’s a crown—and you can win it,
If you go in Jesus’ name.
One of the verses speaks volumes to me as a chronic pain sufferer.
Are you laid aside from service,
Body worn from toil and care?
You can still be in the battle,
In the sacred place of prayer.
We may have bodies broken or worn out. However, we still have things we can do to help others know of the love of God, His forgiveness and eternal life. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Whether we are healthy or whether we have broken bodies we can pray for said laborers. Little is much when God is in it!

Do what you can, when you can, as much as you can in the Lord and then you’ll see rich rewards. Working here on earth even with a worn out body, remaining faithful to Him means you’ll hear the words, “well done.” Well done is not just for the person who ministered as a pastor. It isn’t only for the one who sacrificed his life for God. Ministering for God is giving your all every day in His will no matter what situation of life you are in.
