Grateful For God’s House

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalm 100:4

Since I was a newborn my parents have taken me to church. As I grew up, they taught me (by example) how to serve in the church and kept me very busy. I loved this! We lived in the church parsonage for years at one point and I was always at church talking to everyone and singing and playing music. It is a glorious memory for me.

Fast forward to married life and Pierre and I didn’t miss a beat in serving God in church. We have always been grateful we were taught to put God first and now we are teaching our children to do the same. Our children now help clean the church, play instruments, talk to the visitors and do so much to serve God.

Grateful today that we can go to church and serve God together in music and other ways. Music is our passion but meeting and greeting people is also a vital part of our church going.

I may not always have the best health and sometimes I have to stay home but I always miss being THERE! I truly suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out). Can you say the same?

O Lord of hosts, we seek to raise,
Houses of worship, to Thy praise;
Wilt Thou Thy people’s hearts prepare,
Who meet this day for praise and prayer?
And Lord, let living souls be fed,
On this glad day, with heavenly bread;
That they in hope of glories blessed,
May hence prepare, Thee, earthly rest.
That everywhere, throughout the land,
There may to Thee a temple stand,
That there proclaimed, Thy mercy sure,
Shall stand, while time and man endure.
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25
