“All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.” Proverbs 15:15
I hope you have a continual feast of joy today. I hope your heart is merry in spite of any difficult situation you are in.
Here on the earth we know we will have good and bad days. We know that sometimes it feels like we are barely hanging on as go through the day and then other days we are soaring with great happiness.
We know that the devil would love to win in our lives and have us living a life of perpetual defeat but this verse promises us so much more.
When we have a merry heart we are promised a continual feast. A feast of such peace and joy that the afflictions will pale in comparison. What a promise. What a thrill to know that we have a Heavenly Father continually caring for us and guiding our steps.
Will your merry heart feast today on God’s Word and His promises? Dwell in Beulah land today (a place of victory).
Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling;
Then I know the sins of earth beset on every hand;
Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling;
None of these shall move me from Beulah Land.
Refrain:
I’m living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky,
I’m drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry;
Oh, yes! I’m feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply,
For I am dwelling in Beulah Land.
Viewing here the works of God, I sink in contemplation;
Hearing now His blessed voice, I see the way He planned;
Dwelling in the Spirit, here I learn of full salvation;
Gladly will I tarry in Beulah Land.
“A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” Proverbs 15:13
